About the program

Our graduate program and training is tailored, structured, focused on your long-term success and designed to provide a rounded and meaningful experience. We believe that three rotations of six months will equip you to not only become an excellent lawyer, but to also discover what sort of lawyer you want to be.

Become part of a team
Our lawyers in are leaders in their field and deliver the high-profile, high-quality work that matters to our clients. You’ll be a hands-on part of the team and the life of the firm from the outset. You’ll work closely with them and learn to tackle complexity and navigate change.

To guide you through the rotation, you’ll be allocated a supervising partner, coach (Senior Associate) and buddy (Junior Solicitor). They’ll be responsible for your career development, workload and wellbeing.
Structured blended work/learning experience
In partnership with UNSW, we’ll support you through the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice on your pathway to becoming a Solicitor. You’ll complete this during your first rotation, where you’ll have up to 20 days of study leave. This means you’ll be on track for admission before your second rotation.
Tailored training and support
As our future lawyers, we take our graduates’ training and welfare very seriously. Throughout your time here, you’ll have a supervising partner, coach and trainee buddy to approach with any questions or concerns. Your graduate program will begin with a comprehensive one-week induction, after which you’ll have ongoing practice group training related to your rotation. We’ll also support your Legal Practitioner in Australia admission through Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice For you to be a trusted advisor to our clients and a valuable member of our team, you will need to develop a range of business skills to complement your technical knowledge of the law. As a Graduate you will attend the first level of the Business Skills Academy (Launch) during your first and second rotations to develop these skills.

Our Graduate program

Our Graduate Program is designed to strengthen your knowledge, develop your mindset and hone your expertise through rotations in three different practice areas for six months at a time. This will enable you to gain the breadth of experience that you need to become a trusted Solicitor and business advisor.

Before each rotation, you’ll have the opportunity to submit preferences for practice areas, enabling you to tailor your graduate program to your specific interests. These preferences can be discussed with our dedicated Graduate Recruitment Team.

If you’re interested, you can also apply to complete an international rotation, or a client or interanal secondment.

At the end of your 18-month program, you can select the discipline that you would like to continue to grow your career in, allowing you to focus your development.
