Additional information
 Our vacation scheme takes place over 4 weeks starting in June each year and includes workshops, pro bono projects and feedback for each of your two seats. You will also receive written assignments to assess your legal skills. The Vacation Scheme is the route offered to external candidates interested in our Trainee Solicitor Programme and at the end of the scheme you may be offered a Trainee Solicitor role. A salary will be paid for the duration of the scheme and will be based upon a contract of 37.5 hours per week.
Eligibility If you are a penultimate year Law student, final year Law or LLM student with a qualifying Law degree or have already completed your Law degree then you’re able to apply.

Application process and key dates

Applications open 13th November 2023 and close 15th December 2023
Technical testing will be completed remotely by January 2024
Technical assessments will be completed remotely by February 2024
Assessment Centres will take place remotely in March 2024
The in-person Vacation Scheme commences June 2024
Our application process includes the following: 
  1. Online application form.
  2. Blended psychometric test.
  3. Technical test, followed by a drafting test for those who have passed the psychometric test and application review.
  4. Assessment Centre involving a scenario-based interview and competency-based interview with Partners and Heads of Practice.

What we look for
 You’ll need to be comfortable reviewing, analysing and organising documentary and factual evidence alongside having excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail. 

We’re looking for consistent 2:1s throughout your degree but we’ll always take mitigating circumstances into account – please include as much detail as you’re comfortable with in the additional information box on the online application form.
