About the contract
 If you’re an outstanding law graduate, fluent in Mandarin and ready to make your mark in a world-leading firm, consider applying to our two-year training contract. Based in our Hong Kong office, you’ll work on high-profile cases and deals for prestigious clients while developing a thorough understanding of the law.
Life as a future joiner We take the development and welfare of our future lawyers very seriously. Even before starting the training contract with us, you'll be invited to social events in our office and start building your network. We also know that life in a commercial law firm can feel daunting, but you’ll be well supported through mentorship, training sessions and workshops. You’ll also have regular conversations with partners and HR about your seat choices and qualification options, and the option to take a secondment at one of our overseas offices or with a client.
Be a part of everything
 Over the two-year training contract, you’ll rotate across four, six-month seats, giving you the chance to experience different practice areas before committing to a specialism. All trainees spend time in corporate and dispute resolution, but you can also choose to sit in finance, employment, energy, corporate, crime and investigations, competition and international arbitration.
Who can apply?
All vacation scheme students will be interviewed for the training contract. If you’re applying directly, you’ll undergo an online assessment, an interview with two partners and a 1-hour translation test. Before making you an offer, you’ll be invited on a 2-week mini vacation scheme.
