Link up, down under

We’re a growing firm with international connections. Our trainees bring their skills to the global stage with secondments in eight major cities and award-winning teams on six continents. Now you can get to know us on a journey through our world.
We’re not just looking for academic excellence. We’re searching for people with strong communication skills, who can connect with people from all walks of life, and can collaborate with their community. Great lawyers don’t just solve problems for clients – they create strong, lasting links, wherever they go.
The winner of our competition will spend two weeks in Sydney and Melbourne, meeting our people and expanding their network. All you need to do is show that you’ve got what it takes to make it at Herbert Smith Freehills.
The deadline for the first stage of our competition is 11 February 2018.

Make the connection

Our competition is made up of three stages. Each will assess the skills and attributes you need to be a lawyer and join our world. Your journey starts with a few small steps. It ends with one giant leap across the globe.
